Craig's Vintage Restoration

1961 FL Panhead

I restored this bike for Bill. It is a 1961 FL Panhead, a nice rider that had 30,000 miles on him. Yes him, Bill bought the bike from his late friend Jeff, hence the bike is named Jeff in his honor. This was a down to the frame, nut & bolt correct restoration to factory specifications. This restoration took about a year, I do this part time & I still have a day job. The goal  was to acheive a Junior First award @ an AMCA (Antique Motorcycle Club of America) National Meet. A Junior First is the highest award a newly restored bike can be awarded, it must score a minimum of 90 points to acheive this.  The bike was judged @ the Chief Black Hawk National meet in Davenport Iowa September 2009, it received 94.25 points out of a possible 99.75, There are no 100 point bikes. The corrections will be made & the bike will be judged again @ the Fort Sutter Chapter National Meet in Dixon California June 2010. the goal will be a Senior award with 95 points or above. If you like what you see I can Restore one for you.
