2/1/2010,This is my current personal project, Frankenstein a period bobber as would have been built in the late 40's early 50's by a guy that needed transportation but wanted a machine he could blast down a dirt road, race on the dirt tracks & compete in field events of the day. The details, 38 big twin frame in mint condition, 40-46 in line springer, 19" front & 18" rear Kelsey Hays wheels, 47 FL running gear. Most all of the parts are Genuine HD. The motor was built by Sayer & Fern @ Flat Head Fern's in Reseda California check them out
www.flatheadfern.com. The guy on the wall overseeing the work is my late grandfather JD John Cameron, He was one of the original Boozfighters. 3/8/10 the new addition to the project is an original WR seat, THANK'S Alan. 10/9/10 added new pictures today, mock up is done time to tear her down & paint. I am running a bit behind my goal of Chopperfest in December. 11/24/10 Well the bike is back up on the table for an oil tank change 38-39 oil tank will now reside in the 38 frame, of course it needed the chain gaurd mount repaired so mock up was necessary for proper aigment. Well another year has passed, with each trip to the swap meet a new part makes it's way home with me & a change is made. My knucklehead project is finally ready for paint. I hope by this time next year we take her to the David Mann Chopperfest in Ventura CA. Merry Christmas & Happy new year 2011!
